This Past Saturday 11/19/05, 3000 Reality Fighting Fans Dug Deep Into Their Pockets And Raised An Incredible $6,000.00 For Christopher Delgada In A 50/50 Raffle.

The Winner Of The Raffle Donated Entire Prize Of $3,000 Towards The Fund! Larry Hazzard And The Other Commissioners Threw In $$ As Well. It Was Awesome. I Couldn't Make The Announcement When We Hit $6000 Because I Literally Was In Tears.

My Name Is Al Verduzco, Owner Of Extreme Martial Arts (EMA) And I Am Asking For Your Help In Support Of Christopher Delgado.

On August 28, 2004 Christopher Was Struck By A Driver Under The Influence Of Alcohol And Narcotics. His Face Was Crushed Causing Multiple Fractures And Lacerations, Resulting In The Permanent Loss Of His Eyesight. In Addition To Those Major Injuries, He Also Sustained A Shattered Arm And Leg. Due To His Incredible Courage And Strength Christopher Survived This Horrible Ordeal.

Christopher Has Incredible Determination And Enthusiasm. EMA Is Helping Christopher With His Balance, Restore His Strength, Build His Confidence And Achieve All His Personal Goals. One Goal Is To Obtain His Black Belt! His Ability To Adapt Very Quickly Is Inspiring To Me And The Other Students.

His Mother Monica Had To Leave Her Job To Care For Christopher On A Full Time Basis. Before The Accident, She Worked Full Time Along With Full Responsibility Of Taking Care Of Her Children. Monica And The Kids Live In A Small Two Bedroom Apartment In Merrillville. She Has Struggled A Long Way To Make Sure She Lives In A Safe Neighborhood For Her Children.

Unfortunately, Due To The Magnitude Of His Injuries The Doctors Estimate That He Will Have Up To 11 Surgeries During The Course Of His Life. Christopher Is Scheduled To Have One Of His Many Surgeries In June. The June Surgery Is To Remove The Plates And Screws That Are In His Legs. At The End Of This Year His Second Surgery Will Be To His Face Giving Christopher A New Nose And Hopefully Return As Much Of His Original Appearance As Possible.

In An Effort To Give Hope To Such Tragedy, I Am Asking For You And/or Your Organization To Make A Tax Deductible Donation To Help Christopher With His Many Surgeries.
